Courtney Kay

Board Member - Secretary

Courtney Kay’s passion for supporting black and brown breast cancer survivors is deeply personal, as she is the daughter of a breast cancer survivor. This connection drives her commitment to advocating for health equity and making a difference in the lives of survivors.

Courtney is also the CEO of Misfit Publishing, a company focused on bridging the racial gap in the publishing industry by uplifting female writers of color. In addition, she serves as the Administrative Operation manager at the Department of Justice Juvenile in Georgia, where she applies her strong organizational and leadership skills.


With an associate degree in networking and currently pursuing a business administration degree at DeVry University, Courtney brings valuable expertise to her work. Her experience ensures smooth operations, from maintaining records to enhancing governance. As an award-winning poet, author, and advocate, Courtney’s unique perspective as a caregiver, writer, and creative leader fuels her dedication to building supportive communities for survivors and promoting health equity.
