At Livin Through the Lenz, we believe that healing is not meant to happen alone. This page connects you to trusted resources, support systems, and organizations that uplift, educate, and empower individuals navigating their journey. These resources offer culturally relevant support, advocacy, education, and community connection for Black and Brown breast cancer survivors.

Trusted Resources

Culturally Specific & Community Support

Sisters Network Inc.

Is a national African American breast cancer survivorship organization dedicated to increasing awareness, providing support, and advocating for Black women affected by breast cancer. They offer survivor programs, education, and community outreach.


Sisters Working It Out

Is a support-based organization focused on empowering women through education, outreach, and survivorship support. Their mission centers on helping women navigate their journey with strength and community.

African American Breast Cancer Alliance (AABCA)

Provides culturally specific education, emotional support, and survivorship programs for Black individuals, families, and communities impacted by breast cancer.

Tigerlily Foundation

Supports young women (ages 15–50), especially women of color, through education, advocacy, and hands-on support before, during, and after cancer.

TOUCH The Black Breast Cancer Alliance

A national collaborative focused on improving outcomes for Black breast cancer patients through research, advocacy, and community engagement.

Financial & Practical Support

Financial challenges can be overwhelming during and after treatment. These organizations provide assistance with basic needs, treatment-related expenses, and support services to help individuals focus on healing.

The Pink Fund 

Provides short-term financial assistance to breast cancer patients in active treatment, helping cover basic living expenses such as housing, utilities, and transportation.

CancerCare

Offers financial assistance, co-pay support, transportation help, and counseling services for people affected by cancer.

Patient Advocate Foundation

Provides case management, financial aid, and assistance navigating insurance, medical debt, and access to care.

Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC)

Offers financial guidance, educational resources, and support services for individuals impacted by breast cancer.
